E-Safety Curriculum - Protecting children in a digital age!
Our focus on e-safety complements the teaching of computing at St. Mary's. In an age of digital curricula delivery, our pupils need to be taught explicit skills (and be given the knowledge) to make sensible decisions and navigate the online world.
Beyond teaching children the risks of online predators, our e-safety curriculum comprehensively introduces children to subject specific content such as: digital footprints (Year 2), Online advertising (Year 3) and Evaluating the difference between privacy and security settings.
At St. Mary's, children do not simply create posters to replicate newly learned content - they discuss, debate and research these topics to make them competent digital citizens of the future.
